Rachmaninoff – Rejoice, O Virgin (with F1 ending)

From Musica Russica:

— “Bogoroditse Devo” by Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) is, very possibly, the most popular and widely performed piece of Russian Orthodox sacred music. Its graceful simplicity and pious reverence, which build to a mighty exclamation on the word “raduysia” (Rejoice!), move and stir the soul and spirit in way that few other pieces of sacred choral music are capable of doing. (Also available in arrangements for SSAA, SAB, and TTBB choirs, as well as in English translation for mixed choir.) —

Elias Dubelsten (Bass) and I sing C2 and F1 to close out the concert at the end. (EDIT: We are actually closer to E1 at that point… No worries, we still got you covered!)

You must buy this sheet music! (Or even better, buy the entire work!):
