Biography:

About Thou Yang: From Fresno, California, Thou Yang received his Bachelors of Arts in Music Education and Teaching Credential from Fresno Pacific University in California. He recently graduated from The Conservatory of Music and Dance – University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. He is currently teaching Vocal Music in Kansas City, MO.

Some of his notable professional choral experience includes: Kansas City Chorale (Charles Bruffy); St. Tikhon Choir (Benedict Sheehan); Missouri Choral Artists (Kelly Garrison); Choral Arts Northwest (Dr. Robert Bode); Kantorei KC (Chris Munce); KC VITAS (Jackson Thomas); Ancora Chorale (Kristopher Taylor).

Besides his passion for teaching choral music, he is a freelance recording engineer with over 15 years of experience, vocal bass/vocal percussionist for a cappella groups of all genres, and an oktavist for collegiate and professional choirs throughout the United States.

Thou currently resides in Kansas City, MO with his wife, Susan, and their five children.
