George Younce has always been one of my favorite bass singers growing up. I remember hearing The Cathedrals before I knew who they were – what an amazing group and that bass was just phenomenal. I found out later on in life who they were and have been listening to them ever since. George Younce’s tone, projection, and musicality puts him up there as one of the best.
What makes this piece difficult is that it is mostly in the middle of the range and the lower notes are not until the very end so you need to prepare in advance for the Bb1.
Enjoy!
Going Home, down to Bb1 at the end.
